They took me away
I shrieked and cried, but no one cared
They slapped me, i screamed and paled
But no one saw my pain
All i asked is to be noticed.
I am regal, I am stout
Like an Iroko tree I stand,
Still you didn’t notice
I am weak and lowly
Like a lost lamb slumped,
Yet no one noticed.
I am courteous and calm
I am nice and cool
They just won’t notice
I am gay, and sunny.
Like a petal I blossom
They have chosen not to notice
I want to smile and blush
Want to rant and bang
Still they won’t notice.
So they jest and sneer
Like an angry Tiger pounce
You begged to be noticed
They torture and main you
They defile and deride you
You prayed to be noticed
They rip and wreak you
Like a furious tornado
surge
Still you hoped to be noticed
You hope and yearn
A believe you sort and sieve
Like a caged bird you asked to be noticed.
They saw and unabashed
They feel no kin
Alas, no one noticed
